Helping Sarah

My name is Sarah Sigler, and the cute little guy in the picture is my adventurous little boy Korban. We're two thirds of a temporarily incomplete family.

In addition to the emotional and spiritual impact created by my husband's absence, we face a large shortfall in our finances. We have taken significant steps toward reducing our cost of living in various ways, but the shortage is still present.

With this tool, you can help support us in a very practical way.

Our Faith

Our faith plays more than just a significant role in our lives. We strive to keep God at the center of our lives. It is He who sustains us and provides for us.

Even Korban's name is a reflection of His goodness. "Korban" is a Hebrew term that is used to describe something "given to God" or dedicated to Him. Korban's middle name, "Nathaniel", means "given by God." We know our little man is a gift from above, and we are dedicated to raising him to be a man of God.

We need our faith and all its equipping during this season, so please keep us (and my husband) in your prayers during this season.

Our Situation

Currently, we have an incomplete family. Korban and I are surrounded by a cloud of supporting men and women, but my husband is temporarily out of the picture.

When first getting into business, he got tangled up with the wrong guys, and years later it came back to haunt him. As a result of the bad peer choices he made, he's serving a 30-month sentence in federal custody. Read the full story here.

With good time, he could be released as early as September 2014. If for some reason that doesn't happen, his sentence would keep him until January 2015.

My Husband

All things considered, Chris is doing well. He is looking forward to getting this all behind him, but he's trusting in God to use this whole situation for good...

God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
—Romans 8:28 (NASB)

Our Supporters

Some of our supporters prepared the below statements about why people are helping Sarah. Mouse over the statement to pause the auto-rotation.

How You Can Help

Your prayers, thoughts, and support are highly appreciated, but the most practical way you can help is to give financially. Please do not replace my hardship with your own, and please do not consider helping me a valid replacement for giving to God (if your faith so requires). All the same, your financial support will help provide for us in this season of our lives.

I know there are plenty of single moms out there, and I know many situations are far worse than my own. I've promised my husband to have these options available, though, so here we are.

One-time Support

Every little bit helps, so I thank you for your gift.

Ongoing Support

If you are able, your monthly gift will greatly help meet regular needs.

How it Works

For monthly gifts, this page will automatically determine the number of months until Chris is out, and the gifts automatically stop after. Plus, you can cancel at any time. This method requires a PayPal account, but they're easy to set up.

One-time gifts can be made using a PayPal account or using a credit or debit card.

* Of course, the things listed are for real-world cost reference only. Ultimately, my goal is to provide for my son, so I may not do exactly what is listed here with your gift.
